“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14).
Every child of God faces difficulties from time to time. In fact, when we’re living through difficult days, sometimes it seems like they will never end. The Lord Jesus warned us of the difficult times. He said, “In this world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
Have you ever noticed why so many of the people mentioned in the Bible are remembered so well? When you think of David, what comes to your mind? Probably the giant, Goliath, right?
When you think of Daniel, what comes to your mind? Probably the lion’s den, right? When you think of Paul and Silas, what comes to your mind? Probably the time they were put in prison for preaching about Jesus. In the midst of great difficulty, these and others received strength and courage through their relationship with God. You and I can do the same.
We also can be victorious in life through an intimate relationship with Jesus. He will strengthen our hearts. May the people of Maple Spring CoB be people of great courage. May our faith in God conquer our fears!
